Julian Kaufmann performs a diverse range of engagements for industry-leading clients around the globe. Julian most recently served as Senior Managing Director and Head of Human Resources & Communications for AIG Asset Management. Julian led highly successful efforts to retain, rebuild and reward talent in this $400B investment manager for AIG insurance businesses. Julian currently serves as a Senior Fellow in the Human Capital Practice for The Conference Board.
Previously, Julian served as AIG Vice President of Global Talent Management & Organization Development. Julian led enterprise-wide succession planning, talent acquisition, performance management and learning focused on cross-business collaboration and leverage. Julian also led the HR Divestiture & Restructuring Program Management Office and instituted global redeployment and career transition services. Julian also provided generalist HR leadership for AIG corporate functional organizations.
Prior to AIG, Julian served as Vice President, Leadership & Organization Development and Corporate HR for Tyco International in Princeton, New Jersey. Earlier in his career Julian served as: Vice President, Leadership & Organization Development for Time Warner. Before joining Time Warner, Julian worked at AlliedSignal (now Honeywell International), Compaq Computer Corporation and Harris Corporation.
Julian holds Bachelors degrees in Economics and Psychology, an MBA and a Certificate in Labor & Industrial Relations, all from the University of Michigan.
